While attending The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), Dr. Brooks Taber became interested in radiology through a conference for medical students presented by Dr. Stephen Schabel. After earning his medical degree from MUSC, Dr. Taber completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before his first role in radiology practice at the Veteran’s Administration National Teleradiology Program in Durham, NC.
In 2017, Brooks joined Raleigh Radiology Associates, an innovative and technologically advanced radiology practice in Raleigh. He has been the Neuroradiology section head since2022 and has been an innovative and conscientious resource for his patients and colleagues.
A member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, American Society of Neuroradiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, and licensed by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Taber has broad experience in Neuroradiology. While his current role is his first board position, his knowledge and expertise add to the ‘deep bench’ of experienced professionals on the board and at Raleigh Radiology Associates. During his downtime, Brooks enjoys family time and sporting events with his wife and two sons.
